Historic Cowra Railway Station

HSITORIC COWRA RAILWAY STATION

Officially opened on the 2nd of October 1887, the Cowra Railway Station strikes an impressive figure in the Cowra countryside.

A major stop on the Blayney – Demondrille line and Eugowra line junction, at the height of its prime Cowra was a major locomotive servicing point. It included inspection and ash pits, an engine house, coal stage and various facilities for the repair and maintenance of rolling stock.

The Historic Cowra Railway Station is open on the last full weekend of every month to coincide with the Lachlan Valley Heritage Train Rides.

Running from 10am – 2pm, hop on board the Cowra Tourist Railway for ride that will take you from the Station to the Lachlan River Bridge or ask one of the knowledgeable volunteers about the extensive rail history in the town and across the region.

Address: Lynch Street, Cowra NSW 2794
