Counting Down by Fiona Davies

Fiona Davies’ exhibition Counting Down brings together photography, painting and installation in what was probably the
parcels office at Cowra Railway Station.

In its former life the station witnessed many comings and goings, with all the train movements being counted down.
Davies looks at another public institution, the hospital, to consider the impact of counting down – until your appointment, until the anaesthesia knocks you out or even until you take the first step to go through the main entrance.
