Cowra Parkrun

Start your Saturday with one of Australia’s most meaningful parkruns. Set within Cowra’s internationally recognised Peace Precinct on beautiful Wiradjuri Country, Cowra parkrun is a free, weekly five-kilometre community event where history, nature and community come together.

Following the picturesque Cowra Breakout Cycleway and Walking Path, the course winds through tranquil parklands, past Sakura Avenue and alongside sites that tell Cowra’s remarkable story of wartime, reconciliation and peace. It’s more than just a run—it’s an opportunity to experience one of Australia’s most unique cultural landscapes while enjoying the fresh country air.

Whether you walk, jog, run, volunteer or simply cheer from the sidelines, everyone is welcome. With a friendly local community and visitors joining from across Australia and beyond, Cowra parkrun is a wonderful way to meet locals, discover the region and begin your weekend on a positive note.

Don’t forget to register online before your first event. Afterwards, continue the morning with a well-earned coffee or breakfast at the Rose Garden Coffee House beside the Cowra Visitor Information Centre, or take time to further explore the surrounding Peace Precinct and its nationally significant heritage attractions.
