Weddin NAIDOC Day

50 years of NAIDOC – The Weddin NAIDOC Celebration invites the community to celebrate the rich culture and heritage of Australia’s First Nations people. The event will feature vibrant performances, cultural displays, and a variety of community activities. Special guests include the The Forbes High School Aboriginal Dance Group, with a Welcome to Country and Acknowledgment of Traditional Owners.

Attendees can enjoy Indigenous songs, explore native plants and artefacts displays, and participate in a colouring competition. There will also be opportunities to sample wild meats, enjoy a sausage sizzle, and engage in arts and crafts. A local schools’ art exhibition showcasing Indigenous-inspired artwork will be on display.
